Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain database solutions with a focus on Microsoft SQL
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of database systems through proactive monitoring and optimization.
• Implement and manage automated database deployment and configuration processes using DevOps principles.
• Work closely with software developers to address database-related issues and optimize query performance.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies for database systems.
• Collaborate on designing and implementing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Stay updated on database trends and emerging technologies to contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on Microsoft SQL
• Strong proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken).
• Experience with database automation, version control, and CI/CD processes.
• Proficient in SQL scripting and query optimization.
• Knowledge of database security best practices and implementation.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, including source code repositories and continuous integration platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) in a database environment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Previous experience in a DevOps or database administration role in a German-speaking environment.
