Risk Officer

We're recruiting a Senior Risk Officer for our Hedge Fund client in the Zurich area.

The Hedge Fund is a well backed Fixed Income focused start up and this will be the first/lead person joining in a Risk capacity, so you will have a fabulous opportunity to be a key contributor in building out the new hedge fund.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential risks across the investment portfolio, including market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk.
• Risk Monitoring: Monitor key risk metrics and indicators on a regular basis to ensure that risk exposures are within established limits.
• Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Risk Reporting and Regulatory Compliance
• Portfolio Analysis and Stress Testing
• Risk Infrastructure: Design, build-out and maintain an efficient risk infrastructure
• Investor and counterparty engagement and liason: Meeting with Investors and Prospects to present the risk framework and enage with trading counterparties and prime brokers.

To apply for this Senior Risk Officer job you should have:

• 10+ years experience of working in Risk Management - ideally within a hedge fund
• Good knowledge of fixed income products and fixed income risk
• A strong analytical and technical background
• Strong client facing presentation skills as all potential investors will want to hold meetings with you prior to investing
• A flexible mindset. You will be joining a growing dynamic start-up and so priorities can be shifted from day to day and tasks will vary
